World Tourism Day

World Tourism Day is celebrated annually on September 27th to promote and raise awareness of the importance of tourism, and its social, cultural, political and economic value. The day aims to highlight the role that tourism plays in various aspects of life, including job creation, economic growth, and sustainable development. The day was established by the United Nations World Tourism Organization in 1980 and has been celebrated every year since then with a different theme.
