National Single Parents Day

In 1984, President Ronald Reagan officially designated March 21 as National Single Parents Day, a day to acknowledge the hard work, devotion, and sacrifice of single parenting. It is believed that the day, March 21, was chosen to coincide with the inception of Parents Without Partners, which began on March 21, 1957.
