National Mojito Day

A mojito is a classic cocktail that originated in Cuba and is now popular around the world. It is made with rum, lime juice, sugar, fresh mint leaves, and soda water. To make a mojito, fresh mint leaves and sugar are muddled together in the bottom of a glass. Lime juice is then added, along with ice and rum, and the mixture is stirred to combine. Finally, soda water is added to give the cocktail a little bit of fizz. The combination of fresh mint, lime, and rum gives the mojito a refreshing and slightly sweet taste that is perfect for sipping on a hot day. It is typically served in a tall glass with a straw and garnished with a sprig of mint and a wedge of lime. Mojitos are a popular cocktail choice in many bars and restaurants, and there are many variations of the classic recipe that incorporate different flavors or ingredients. Some popular variations include adding fruit like strawberries or mango, or using different types of rum.
