National Adopt a Cat Month

June 1 kicks off Adopt a Cat Month at the height of kitten season, when we see an increase in feline breeding. Thousands of newborn kittens join the millions of cats already in shelters across the country. On this day, people are encouraged to get to know some of their adorable kitties waiting patiently for adoption.
