Manatee Appreciation Day

Manatees, sometimes called sea cows, are tropical aquatic sirenian mammals with broad rounded tails. Despite their massive bulk, they are graceful swimmers in coastal waters and rivers. Manatee populations are found along the North American east coast from Florida to Brazil, the Amazon River, and the west coast and rivers of Africa.
